Hello to all BG members!
Maybe you remember me, anyway this is not something special, nevermind...

This thread is only about offering a VPS for Blood Generation clan because i got a VPS but since i left Counter-Strike 2D i don't know what to do with this VPS so i decided to give it to the clan leader m&m.

Where's the VPS comes from?

The VPS comes only from HapHost (a free service which gives free VPS) however with low specifications as for example the RAM, CPU and such and you can search these specs from this webiste Haphost.
Moreover, the geolocation of this VPS is from Frankfurt, DE (Germany).

The OS

The actual Operative System of this VPS is debian-7.0-x86_64, in case if you m&m feel incoveniented about this OS then you can tell me what the OS i must install it.

The functionality of this VPS is pretty stable and the VPS is still fresh (just some days ago i got the VPS).

NOTICE: Don't tell me to create cs2d folders for VPS to create a server(s) this is only up to the clan leader or vice leader!
Moreover, only me can have access to restart the container VPS or such but if you m&m has some incovenience like restarting the VPS feel free to contact me via skype (i'm often active in skype but depends on the situation and my day activity).

If you m&m want to accept this i already sent you a friend request in skype and i will give you the VPS's info if you're decided to accept it.

m&m accepted my offer therefore i gave to him the credentials of the VPS and now he can host at least 2-3 servers circa because of a major problem: Lags
In fact, the RAM, the SWAP and without a doubt the CPU which they are utterly low and this has a major impact on performance and especially the comunication response between the player(client) and the server (and note that i'm talking about the performance and not about networking so don't confuse them).
Moreover, since the geo-location of the VPS is from Frankfurt, DE i think there won't be timeout delay on latency between server and a player, however non-European players may face a little lag or less timeouts because the far distance between the server and the continent.

As for the security and DoS attacks, i recommend for m&m to search some tutorials or tips for "iptables" (the iptables is the firewall of the Linux) and can prevent some primitive DoS attack but this depend on the attacker and the attack itself if is not so sophisticated or toughest one to flood the server and also the VPS too (since the empty huge packets will flood not only the server but even the VPS) because such attacks is consuming the resources of a machine like RAM, CPU and in fact this is the attack that's works (DoS is based like a overload system) to overload your machine and make it unstable and not working legitimate as it supposed to be.

Anyway, maybe the BG members will be happy about that i gave the VPS sot the Blood Generation Clan may expand in someway or somehow.
